I’ve just incorporated music study in my children’s homeschool curriculum ( thanks to Charlotte Mason..:)). We’ve been listening to Mozart’s composition every morning for a couple of weeks now. I’ve read to them a short biography about Mozart and we also watched a movie about the life of Mozart from Youtube.
I like how my kids are somehow appreciating classical music. A few times, my son will be telling me his feelings whenever he hears a certain kind of composition. He tells me, ” that song makes me happy.. that song makes me sad.. or that sounds scary (LOL!) ” I believe that exposing them to classical music even at this age will truly benefit them. I’m sure when they grow up, they will be exposed to other types of music and maybe even be interested to play the musical instruments themselves. I know my son is interested in playing the guitar and drums. Soon enough he will be asking us to buy these intruments as well as accessories like line 6 hd400 .
