When our kids were smaller, we would often buy for them little ‘surprises’ when Hubby and I goes out and leave them with our cousin. Since we live far from our homecountry, we don’t have our immediate family members with us. So, our kids are not used being left alone with other family members. Whenever we go out, we don’t have any choice but to tag them along. It was a relief to have our cousin work with us here in Thailand because it gave HUbby and I a chance to go out by ourselves. But since our kids were not used being left alone in the house with people other than us, we had to promise them ‘surprises’ so, they can let us go. :)

But as time has gone by, they’ve been so comfortable with our cousin, that it was no longer necessary for us to ‘bait’ them with the surprises. It was a relief too since going out has become an expensive affair, dinner date but surprises. But the surprises we bought for them were actually some cheap toys and not titanium watches men. Anyways, I’m glad that our kids have grown up and they’re not as clingly as they used to be. Whew!
